Illuminate Connection Mala
Baltic Amber is an organic material made of the fossilized resins of coniferous trees some 30 to 60 million years ago. Unlike other crystals born within the depth of the Earth’s crust, Amber was first created by the synthesis of light energy, oxygen, and the tree’s own essential oils. It embodies the bright energy of Light uniting the energizing force of the sun with the ancient grounding energy of Earth.
A powerful yet gentle healer and cleanser, Amber draws out negative or stagnant energies of all kinds on all levels and transmutes them into clear, usable frequencies. Like solidified sunlight, Amber brings warmth, illumination, and comfort to its bearer. It brightens the disposition and breaks through timidity and doubt. Amber is a confidence-boosting gem, and it promotes creativity, flexibility, and joy. Working with Amber allows us to clear emotional baggage, and it stills the mind to bring greater awareness to our mental processes.
For psychically sensitive and empathic people, Amber can help minimize the feeling of being overwhelmed by other people’s energies. It grounds and centers scattered energies in the etheric body and brings greater awareness to one’s karma. Amber is also soothing to the physical body. It contains anti- inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties through the release of succinic acid when it is warmed against the skin.
Amber is associated with the Solar Plexus Chakra, the source of personal power, self-belief, and self- worth. Like a ray of golden sunshine, the glow of the Solar Plexus Chakra lights your path and warms your body and soul.
Sandalwood has a number of magical applications, and they tend to vary depending on which religious group you’re looking at. In Hindu rites, sandalwood paste is often used to consecrate ritual tools before ceremonies. In many traditions of modern Paganism, it is associated with healing and purification. Buddhists believe that sandalwood is one of the sacred scents of the lotus and can be used to keep one connected to the material world while the brain wanders off during meditation.
Sandalwood is associated with the Root Chakra. Burning its incense, or even just smelling its intoxicating natural aroma can help with issues related to self-identity, security and stability, and trust.
Jet, like Amber, is made from organic matter, and both have the property of becoming electrically charged when rubbed with wool or silk. However, Jet is made from fossilized driftwood that has been submerged in sea-floor mud as opposed to the fossilization of tree resin. They work together to create a circuit of healing energy.
Jet is a stone of purification and protection. It draws out negative energy and alleviates unreasonable fears. It was used long ago to protect from “entities of darkness,” (aka, ghosts on the school property) and is particularly good protection against the misuse of magical power or malicious energy.
Jet aids us in entering and exploring the inner void of creation. This is the place in which our potential and power lie. It enables us to see the lesson behind “negative” experiences and helps us integrate those lessons so their manifestations can be released. Jet clears the energetic field of attachments and patterns that appear as negative experiences in our lives. It asks in return that we honestly own both our shortcomings and our abilities. Resonance with Jet assists us in perceiving our personal power and recognizing what aspects of self must still be developed in order to reach our full potential.

These gemstone beads are 6-7mm. The Guru bead is made of Sandalwood, with 3mm Sandalwood beads to finish the ends of the nylon cord and placed within the mala as spacer beads. Those are not counted in the 108 beads but can be observed as a place to rest and refocus if needed.
The nylon cord is very strong and durable, but with a bit of give. Your mala may stretch out a bit over time and through use, which is normal. The amber beads will become smooth and more transparent as you wear them and they’re warmed against your skin.
It is believed that if/when a mala breaks, the goal or intention for which it was used has either been achieved or is no longer needed. However, if it should ever break, you can send it back to me either to be restrung for a small fee or to be exchanged for a 15% discount toward a new mala.
